Landscapes are powerful physical and spiritual reminders of our view of the complex material world and its significance in our lives. Nature can be tranquil and comforting -- beautiful gardens, picturesque seacoasts, glowing sunrises and sunsets, gentle rain showers, mighty trees and graceful clouds. On the other hand, Nature can be ferocious and dangerous -- raging thunderstorms, jagged mountain cliffs, uncontrollable floods, earthquake carnage and the hostile wilderness. While revealing the earth's exterior life and inner spirit, Landscape Art appeals to the most profound human emotions.
Please share with us your personal interpretations and visions of Landscape. They can be serene or savage, intimate or vast, somber or bright, mysterious or lucid, realistic or imaginary. Human figures can be absent, dominant or diminutive. In addition to depicting landscapes and seascapes, images may also include structures and architectural elements. While panoramic views make strong visual statements, don't forget portrayals of individual flowers, trees, birds and animals. Also reflections and shadows are always fascinating. Any style is acceptable: representational, abstract, impressionist, cubist, expressionist -- or a synthesis that you created. Show off your talent!
