4 women, 4 stories is about four Pixeladies quilts honoring four extraordinary women: Faith Ringgold, Mitsuye Endo, Katharine Dexter McCormick, and the subject of their most recent piece that hasn't been exhibited yet, Fannie Lou Hamer. In this presentation, they will talk about the women, why they chose them, and the process the Pixeladies use to bring these women to life.
The Pixeladies, Deb Cashatt and Kris Sazaki, collaborate on their art because they like the challenge of coming up with a single artistic vision from two distracted minds! The Pixeladies’ artwork has been published and juried into national and international exhibitions, and they teach online Photoshop classes. Kris is also a former president of SAQA.
