I paint with fabric and thread. Inspired by aerial photographs of land and water, Vortex II is one of a series of abstract landscapes created using free-hand cut organic shapes from different colors and textures of fabrics, then layered and stitched to recreate the interaction of light and depth at the boundary between ocean and the shore.
