Vivien Zepf - Redwood Bark Study: Burn Bandaids

This redwood tree on private property in California is so tall I almost fell backwards in order to see its lush green top. Thriving, the tree bears the dark, charcoal slash from a fire long ago. In a year when so much of the state was ablaze, the redwood gave me a bit of hope. And so I acknowledged, celebrated and decorated the fire scar, with the dream that I can be as resilient.
