True North was commissioned by a friend for her daughter's new home. She asked for an art work in my translucent style, and encouraged me to freely create something for her. As my friend often spoke of "true north" as a reference to being true to one's self, it seemed an appropriate title as her daughter was beginning a new phase of her life. The curved flame like images on the translucent background represent her daughter and important people in her life, offering support as she reaches for her future.
