Squirrel and Locust

I often think about the small mammals that live and die in our midst. I wanted to give this squirrel a shot at immortality. The vintage embroidered scene is a bit of whimsical anthropomorphism, while the skulls represent the actual end point in an endlessly repeating cycle.
