Signal and Silence

Passing hundreds of people a day, only catching glimpses and wondering about the lives they lead. “Signal and Silence” represents the tiny bits of information we have about the multitudes of strangers we share our cities with. All of my work explores how we process the inundation of visual information in today’s world. I use fabric reclaimed from discarded clothing and household textiles not only for environmental reasons, but because the colors and patterns are part of that information.
