I made yo-yos in varying sizes and shades of purple. When viewed from afar, the sharp contrast between the purple yo-yos and the white background makes it appear to be a black and white image. When viewed within close range, each yo-yo dot is clearly distinguished from its neighbors, but the entire image is lost at this proximity.

My portrait attests that one person cannot be considered as separate from the environment.
