Searching Home – A Journey

The quilt follows my figurative ride through time as a migrant – in search of home. One house marks the place that shaped me – on an African cattle and wheat farm where our only mode of transport was a donkey car. While the cross and bell allude to my spiritual journey on an African mission station. The second house marks the safe place that shelters and sustains me now. Swallows in flight and a shared sun link past and present, carrying my journey toward belonging.
