This green plastic cowgirl joyously riding her horse and swinging her lasso and hat was my favorite childhood toy. When she was destroyed, her loss was oddly felt by me for decades because she clearly represented a type of freedom and excitement a shy little girl could only dream of. When she rode back into my adult life (via a vintage toy site online) our journey together was complete. Now she rides on in this story quilt.
