As the daughter and granddaughter of dressmakers, I began sewing at an early age. I was always excited about the possibility of a new project, a new range of color and texture choices. Within the last eight years I have found my voice making art quilts. My creative process starts most often with a color concept. From there, I choose my fabrics and see what happens. The inspiration for this quilt was my fascination with ombre fabric. I loved the idea of the two colorways traveling in opposite directions and the quilting continuing the design to the edge.
