My childhood memories are of being outside, interacting with rocks, bits of moss or bark, and imagining them to be anything. As an adult I look for ways to bring the imaginary into the real world. This piece is my reflection on the power of the natural world to ignore the “order” that we try to impose upon it. The structure of even the smallest natural process has the power to overtake our sense of order and security.
