This piece was inspired by the Japanese concept of Kintsugi, traditionally a method of repairing broken pottery with gold. It is a way of honoring the break and becoming stronger with the repair. The tow sides of this piece are joined by a river of gold joining the more structured grid with the soft flowing lines of the other side.
