A dear friend of mine commissioned this piece of him with his three sons and family dog. I knew it was a highly complex piece that would push my skills, but I created it in sections, mindful of how the fabrics needed to work in harmony between each person. When it was done, he gave it to his wife, and as she marveled at her family recreated in cloth, I felt such joy to have given them something they could never have expected.
