Love Over Hate

In 2019 the Southern Poverty Law Center tracked 940 hate groups in the United States. Sadly the numbers have only increased since. No one is born a hater. Hate is a learned behavior. Why can they not instead learn to love, rather than hate?

Martin Luther King Jr. said it best, "Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend." The title and quantity of US based hate groups is printed to the background. Quotes from love songs and poetry is screen-printed on top, in white and again, in red onto a vintage lace tablecloth. The mosaic of the heart covering the hate groups is my optimistic wish for our nation.
