Journey is a meditative piece reflecting finding one's way in a terrain strewn with obstacles. It represents a joyful, though still raw, emergence from a long winter or a difficult time.
Materials
Silk organza, two layers. Pearl cotton threads. Canvas stretched on a frame as a support to present the art.
Techniques
Hand painted and hand stitched. Edges are burnt to add to organic sense of this piece. It is loosely attached to a framed canvas, to allow it to move with air currents and to create shadows on the canvas support.
