This piece is part of series of domestic objects incorporating human pones. Bones are a potent symbol, both of mortality and of our human past. The work reflects on how we carry out our daily lives in the presence of the past: both our own particular ancestry and our collective human history. The series conflates disparate impulses: domesticity and mortality, daily life and fear of the unknown, cloth and bones.
