Gazebo Sunset is one in the series of sunsets that fulfill my obsessive need to photograph and paint sunsets. This is a scene from my house in Key Largo including a portion of the gazebo that enhances the house and the crocodile that patrols the waters. We like to talk about the negative ions from the bay that soothe and calm us.
Materials
Purchased commercial and hand dyed cotton fabric, hand painted cotton with Jacquard fabric paint, multiple threads, Dream batting.
Techniques
This is a combination of appliqued purchased fabrics and artist painted fabrics. It was fused then machine appliqued and quilted.
