Historically, the Yellowstone area was referred to as the land of fire and brimstone. Early western explorer Jim Bridger referred to the area as “the place where Hell bubbled up.” Today, knowledge is emerging of a large variety of beautifully colored lifeforms (thermophiles) thriving in the area's super-heated water. Fire Water is my depiction of the fiery hot waters and the amazing and colorful thermophilic life contained within.
