Cosmic Threads: Connections of Neurons and Galaxies

Scientists have highlighted striking similarities between the intricate network of neurons in the human brain and the cosmic web of galaxies, despite their vast difference in size. In line with this, my diptych portrays the complexity of the neural network. Utilizing recycled materials, I have created unique patterns of stitches employing a monochromatic color scheme. I seek to weave threads of connection, mirroring the organic patterns found in both the microscopic neural networks and the expansive cosmic structure of the universe. These patterns serve as reflections of interconnectedness.
