Our Canada goose is white, grey, and black - in other words, all the colours. This piece is from a series of portraits that contemplate subjects as individuals rather than types or species. It shifts attention from identifying "what" this individual is to "who," and invites reflection on what we are doing here, together, now.
Materials
Primarily silk, wool, and cotton, with smaller amounts of other natural and synthetic fibres. Fibres included hand- and commercially dyed or painted yarns, strings, threads and cut textiles.
Techniques
Surface weaving, free-motion quilting.
