Cautionary Measures

Caution and danger tape scavenged from the street, woven and knit…vintage zippers, tape measures, and fabric scraps…old, felted wool and felt recycled from plastic bottles…mesh produce bags. These materials, considered garbage, epitomize our throw-away society and endless consumerism of single-use products and packaging. Further, they represent the repeated promises tossed out by world leaders, who fail to take the aggressive measures needed to meet the dangers of carbon emissions and the many crises of an unraveling social fabric.
