Current events seem to exemplify a breakdown of traditions and unfinished projects. "Becoming Undone" gives a sense of an incomplete artwork started with intention, but unraveling. The layering of yarn, cording, leaves of paper and a metallic mesh and the stitching on the basket can be loosely interpreted as a "art quilt". My artwork features a wide range of textures and begs to be touched and observed closely. Textiles are a familiar medium with a tactile quality that draws the viewer in.
