The buildings in this art piece were created from a unique, large, colorful fabric panel I found at a thrift shop. Using Google Search, I discovered that the graffiti art is that of Jean-Michel Basquiat. In his early twenties, he had a gallery exhibit in New York City titled "Times Square Show.” Basquiat has since passed away, and I honor this contemporary artist by incorporating his vivid colors and figures in my depiction in this night-to-day life of Urban Rhythms on Basquiat Avenue.

Techniques
purple netting used to shade the sky from day to night, fabric pens to shade the tree trunk, vinyl used to represent glass doors, free motion quilting
