Bio

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I currently live and work. Although I graduated as a Biochemist and hold a doctorate in Physiology, I became a textile artist 20 years ago. Since then, I have explored a wide range of techniques through books, online resources, and workshops with outstanding teachers at international festivals. I have taught workshops both locally and abroad, and created textile artworks that have been exhibited in art fairs and salons across Europe and the Americas, as well as in renowned museums in Argentina, including the Sívori, Quinquela Martín, and José Hernández.

My creative process is largely intuitive rather than strictly planned. I often begin with a preliminary sketch, which may evolve significantly throughout the process. Once the concept becomes clear, I carefully select the color palette and fabrics—this is when I fully immerse myself in the creative flow. Materiality plays a central role in my work. Due to the limited availability of cotton fabric where I live, I embrace an upcycling approach—hand-dyeing fabrics, repurposing old quilts, and incorporating leftover scraps. These constraints have become a creative catalyst, adding layers of history and meaning to my pieces.

I define my technique as a stitched textile collage. While the final composition may appear spontaneous or even accidental, many times, a small fragment of fabric is the result of thoughtful and deliberate decisions. I work with the language of color, value, and texture, inviting the viewer to a direct and intuitive experience.

I am currently a member of two international textile art groups, 20 Perspectives, and Viewpoints, and am represented by Juana de Arte Gallery in Buenos Aires.
