In 2018, I had the incredible experience of attending the Houston show for the first time, where I was delighted to discover SAQA’s exhibit. I immediately recognized the creative tribe where my artistic voice belonged, and I became a member on the spot. Originally from Chile, I now reside in Atlanta, Georgia. I proudly represent the GA/SC region as exhibit co-chair since 2021, and I am also a member of the LA and Caribbean region.
My journey as a quilter began in 1997, and since then, I have been dedicated to fostering and growing quilting communities. I have had the privilege to teach workshops and share my passion for art quilting in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, and the United States. Being fluent in both Spanish and English allows me to connect deeply with diverse audiences and students.
My work has been exhibited internationally, including in France, the United States, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil. I am honored that my quilts have found homes in private collections in Ireland, the US, Chile, and Argentina.
As an active member of SAQA, I am committed to advancing the art quilting community by supporting exhibitions, education, and collaboration across cultures and borders. I look forward to contributing my experience and passion to further enrich our international network.
