Bio
My work is inspired by the forest and farmland near my home, as well as social and political issues. I have been sewing and creating since I was a child. Years ago, as a new mom, I learned to quilt, which introduced me to the varied world of art quilts and fiber art. Nowadays, I can be found roaming with my camera and my dog, Lucy. My work often stems from my photography, incorporating various surface design elements, including printing, painting, and thread painting, as well as a fair amount of stitching on my longarm machine. I also enjoy experimenting with mixed media collage and papermaking. My work has been featured in fine art and quilt exhibitions, as well as Quilting Arts magazine.
