Planned Giving

Donations can be made now as a part your estate plan or can be bequests designated in your will or living trust. Including Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. in your will or estate plans is a simple and meaningful way to support the future of the art quilt genre.

You may also choose to support SAQA’s overall programs immediately with your gift. Or gifts to SAQA can be designated to become part of SAQA’s Endowment Fund, a permanent fund established to support the future growth and activities of our organization. This fund provides stability and security, helping to ensure our mission over the long term.

Making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
United States taxpayers who have IRA funds can use a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) to donate up to $100,000 annually directly from a traditional IRA to an eligible public charity without counting that amount as part of their taxable income.

Contact your IRA administrator or financial advisor to request that a distribution be made directly to Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. Other Ways to Give
If you have highly appreciated or low basis Publicly Traded Securities or Mutual Funds, consider transferring them to Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. for a possible tax benefit. Contact your financial advisor to request information on making a transfer directly to Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. Future Gifts to SAQA

Naming SAQA in Your Will
Besides ensuring SAQA’s future, a bequest in your will affirms, honors, and protects what matters most to you. If you would like to make such a gift to SAQA, your attorney may wish to include language similar to the following:

“I give, devise, and bequeath _______________ (insert dollar amount to be donated) to Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc., a nonprofit corporation as described in section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, incorporated in the state of California with U.S. headquarters located at PO Box 141, Hebron, Connecticut, 06248.”

You might also consider naming Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. as a beneficiary in your retirement plan, insurance policy, IRA rollover, or bank and investment accounts. Studio Art Quilt Associates recognizes those who are providing for SAQA’s future to serve as a worldwide resource for the art quilt genre and the artists who create in this medium.
