Exhibit Concept:
Pause is a temporary stop in action. It may be possible that few of us experienced the effects of truly pausing before the pandemic. Our surroundings, our lifestyles, our very beings seem to be in perpetual motion. If not for the pandemic, many of us might never have experienced the effects of taking a pause. What does “pause” mean to you? Externally or internally how have you felt the impact of “pause” in your life and surroundings? This call encourages artists to explore the meaning and effects—both positive and negative--of pause in our daily lives.
Exhibition run dates: September 13-16, 2023 (pending acceptance by the AQS Guild Challenge)
Curators:
Members of SAQA MI will select eight quilts from all those submitted through a voting process. An application with these eight quilts will be made to the AQS Grand Rapids Guild Challenge.
