The Lab on Santa Fe is seeking works of art for our May 2023 Exhibition “I Sing the Body Electric!” which pays homage to Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass. We are asking interested applicants to investigate what art means in relation to Transcendentalism and Nature and how spirituality includes everything that life is, the good, the bad and the ugly as well as the thin boundary between our exterior and interior world.

The Lab on Santa Fe is in the heart of the Santa Fe Art District in Downtown Denver at 840 N Santa Fe Drive between 8th and 9th Avenue. Artists accepted into this exhibition will be given the opportunity to have their work shown in the most central location of the Denver Art Scene with maximum exposure that includes the Santa Fe Art Crawl where hundreds and even thousands of patrons will see your work. This area of high foot-traffic also gives artists the best odds of having their work purchased. We also welcome artists to apply that reside outside the city of Denver as well as out-of-state. The gallery is offering to give out-of-state artists a maximum amount of $50 to cover a degree of shipping costs, if accepted into this exhibition.

A backstory must be given that indicates the ways that the art pieces being submitted relate to the body, nature, spirituality, and the human psyche.

All artists are welcome to apply including abstract artists, fine artists, photographers and mixed-media artists whose work has at least an element of the abstract.
