Each Head is a World: Mapping Your Creative Planet

Non-SAQA
Workshop/Retreat
Region

In this workshop, investigate and map your best and strongest ways of working, thinking and making. You’ll leave the workshop with a metacognitive* perspective of your unique process of working and how your voice shows up in your work. Susie Monday will lead you through exercises that will help you see your creative process with new clarity and  expansive imagination, using simple materials and tools. Bring either small photos of 5 things you have made or digital versions on a phone or tablet of the same. These examples can be finished art, sketch book pages, environmental creations, gardens, garments or adornments -- anything creative goes! This workshop is intended for all levels of experience.

* Metacognition is "thinking about thinking." It involves being aware of and regulating one's own cognitive processes, such as planning, monitoring, and evaluating learning. It's a crucial skill for learning, problem-solving, and decision-making.
