Ozquilt Network’s biennial juried exhibition Art Quilt Australia 2021 showcases 25 works created by 23 artists who are at the forefront of textile art. This collection of bold, intricate and colourful art quilts combines modern designs and traditional methods to create exquisite landscapes and abstract imaginings.

The exhibition opened at Shoalhaven Regional Gallery (12 June - 3 July) and will be on extended display at Yarra Ranges Regional Museum (7 August to 31 October). The exhibition includes the winners of Ozquilt Network’s Award for Excellence (Cathy Jack Coupland "And then there were three") and the acquisitive Expressions: The Wool Quilt Prize (Fiona Gavens, "Ghost Blanket IV").

This exhibition is presented in conjunction with Ozquilt Network Inc and the National Wool Museum. Free entry. No booking required. View the exhibition online on the Ozquilt Network website. A printed catalogue is also available for purchase.

In conjunction with the Art Quilt Australia exhibition, Yarra Ranges Regional Museum is also hosting a traveling exhibition of a selection of winners from the last two decades of Expressions: the Wool Quilt Prize, a biennial award sponsored by the National Wool Museum. The works highlight the use of wool in contemporary quilting and are an evolving document of excellence in the art quilt field.
