The Choice 'speaks' to those concerned with the devastating impact of single-use plastic trash swirling around the major Pacific gyres. 'Weedy' sea dragons were chosen to represent marine life of the South Pacific. Hopefully, with future advances in science and a global effort, plastic pollution can be reversed, thus facilitating marine creatures moving toward the 'light' of unpolluted waters.
