By the late 1980's quilting had become fashionable again so I joined a quilt group. While they hand quilted over large hoop frames, I did dimensional fabric art and used the hoop as my armature. I drew with pencil for detailed faces and used different types of fabrics for texture as machine stitching as a design element or free motion quilting still hadn't become part of my art.
The story is about some friends who went on a road trip. She broke her leg rock climbing and was stuck in the camper for the duration of the trip as they were up in very rocky terrain. He picked wild flowers for her.
