I am angry about the lack of cooperation in following common sense protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19. And I have heard or read every excuse. In each there is a preponderance of personal pronouns—I, me, my—which really tells the story. An artist-made virus stamp shows the exponential growth. The braid line represents the curve at the time this piece was quilted. It has gone up since then. Almost three years in, we’re still hearing the same excuses about vaccination and COVID precautions.
