Old Flame Burning

In this piece, fire symbolizes an intense feeling that comes with love. Love is often compared to fire, as both can be destructive or empowering. This is an attempt to show a warm feeling of a past romantic relationship and how it changes in our memories as time passes by. At first, it's a burning sensation of recent loss shown in black, then a mixed feeling (and therefore a mix of colors) of nostalgia, about good times shared and a sadness that they are never coming back. Finally, there are peaceful and romanticized memories where everything seems better than it was, shown in shades of gold and serene blue.
