Equity for a New Generation

This piece is not a quilt, but it is made from cut-up and reimagined quilts… of all the colors of the people on our planet, literally woven together. On each strip, I machine lettered words from a 2022 United Nations paper on steps that must be taken to achieve equity for girls and women worldwide. The piece ended up looking like a fertilized human embryo, which is the perfect symbol of hope for our future.
