Birds and hands, two of my favourite sources of inspiration. This piece was created for an exhibition entitled "Origins" and held in the cellars of a wine farm. Each piece was displayed upon the face of a wine barrels and therefore had to be round.
Materials
An assortment of various dress materials and sewing threads including gold floss thread. Paper, glue, oil paint and glaze coat.
Techniques
Free motion machine embroidery.
Fibre embedment using scribble stitch.
