In 2018 we spent two days on a boat in the Broughton Archipelago photographing wildlife. Both days we found pods of 200-300 Pacific white-sided dolphins. Our pilot said let’s see is they’ll play and drove through them at a speed that created a wake behind the boat. The dolphins followed the boat immediately, jumping through the wake, flipping over, and splashing sideways into the foam. They looked like they were having as much fun as a bunch of little kids splashing in a puddle.
