SeaSpider Mamam grew out of two separate whole cloth mono prints that were layered and printed. Gestures and marks make a dark, oceanic sea spider figure, reminiscent of Louis Bourgeois’ Maman sculptures. It appears and jumps out of the sea in search of the light of its mother country.
