While in Machu Picchu I observed a llama walking up one of the stairs and photographed him. While I have always been inspired by nature, particularly animals and flowers, and always been a photographer, I've been taking more and more trips around the world, and many of these pictures inspire my art quilts now along with the flowers I photograph or grow in my garden and photograph. I have moved into printing directly on polyester crepe fabric directly myself using UV resistant pigment inks in order to make my work last as long as possible. I still do trapunto like I did in the 1990's. I also use trapunto in my work as I did in the 1990's, so my work has a three-dimensional feel when seen in person.

2-3 layers wool batting, polyester crepe UV resistant print, black cotton backing
