The memory of stepping out of our car at Snoqualmie Falls, WA, still reverberates in my memory today. It was a crashing, thunderous, pounding sound of water. And when my eyes saw the beauty of what produced these sounds I was in awe! Water in all its glory! It was powerful, beautiful, uncontrollable. It seemed to fall in sheets like curtains of water. Its mist rose high above the dark, deep pool into which it fell. This natural wonder also produces hydroelectric power that helps humanity. Tumbling water that falls and splashes is always a fascination. At the Schiessentumpel, sunlight shines down the forest valley as it follows the water on its joIt is always inspirational to travel through the Colorado Rockies finding wonder and awe. Here a flowing river gently cascades downhill creating a small waterfall that brings a delightful sight, along with the sound of rushing water and nourishment to all in its path.
