Blue Ewe

Another misty morn’ and Belle sighs as she leans into the side of the sheep shed, wishing spring would arrive. Or maybe she is wishing the shearer would come and rid her of this heavy fleece. Whatever the reason, this ewe is blue. I had wanted to try Susan Carlson’s collage technique to depict a sheep for some time. Belle was the first of a whole barnyard of livestock I have enjoyed creating. It keeps me thinking of spring through the rainy winter.
