Alternating Currents

My work is influenced by textiles created
for use in ritual and celebration; as architectural
embellishment, vesture, or ceremonial accessories.
Byzantine vestments, Indian mirror cloth, Haitian vodou
banners are the types of fabrics that have inspired me. I
try to allude to their surface effects while producing
work that is ambiguous and contemporary.
