The Spotlight Auction is an online event taking place from April 15 to April 25, 2026. You do NOT have to attend the conference to participate - bidding is open to everyone. All proceeds will help support SAQA programs.
Over 350 pieces of artwork are available for bidding. Each piece is mounted on an 8" x 10" mat with a 4.5" x 6.5” opening and placed in a clear cellophane sleeve. Note that the digital image may vary slightly from the actual artwork.
All bidding is done on the Handbid platform and we highly encourage that you review the Spotlight Auction FAQs first.

How the Auction Bidding Works
The auction opens for bidding for all pieces on Wednesday, April 15 at 3pm EDT. Spotlight auction pieces start low and the highest bidder at the end of the auction wins!
The opening bid for each piece is $25 with $5 bidding increments (all prices are in USD). Pieces will be divided up into different bidding sections, each with a different ending time on Saturday April 25 (all times EDT).
At the designed time, the section will close and bidding will end for those items. The HIGHEST bid will win the item. Note that bidders can place MAX BIDS on items which might result in being automatically outbid at the last minute.
A single shipping fee will be charged at the end of the auction for all your pieces: $15 US / $30 elsewhere. Please note that additional taxes and duties may apply to non-US addresses.
