SAQA exhibition “My Corner of the World” opened yesterday at the Stratford Perth Museum in Stratford, Ontario, Canada. Attracting artists and visitors from around the globe, the opening was a great success, and earned an article in the Stratford Beacon Herald:
There were 300 submissions for the show and choosing 80 was impossible. So impossible, Micaela Fitzsimmons, museum manager of collections and exhibitions, couldn’t cut that final quilt so the show features 81 pieces.
Forty artists from the east coast to the west coast of Canada are represented along with quilters from the United States and as far away as Israel and Australia.
