Terrie Hancock Mangat Shares Her Inspiration

Betty Busby recently recorded fellow SAQA New Mexico member Terrie Hancock Mangat speaking about the creative process and inspiration for her monumental art quilt, “Medicine Bough Mountain Retreat, 2015.” The piece measures an amazing 23-feet.

You can see the stunning artwork in person through May 16 at the Harwood Museum of Art in Taos, New Mexico.

  1. Terri is from Northern Ky. She had a fabulous a fabric /accessory shop in over the Rhine. She also had an awesome Restaurant New Orleans style with a Tarot card reader in downtown Covington before she moved to NM .
    Her work is very inspirational and her Tara card reader taught me how to read the cards. I have never met Terri . However I know some of her family. Just look at this beautiful quilt.
