Textile Talks: 25 Million Stitches: One Stitch, One Refugee, presented by Surface Design Association

2:00 pm EDT (GMT/UTC -4)

Begun in May 2019, 25 Million Stitches draws attention to the plight of 25 million global refugees. Stitchers from through the US plus 6 continents stitched panels, with each stitch representing one refugee. The original goal of 25 Million Stitches has already been reached. Panels will be on display in museum settings starting in June 2021. Join project founder, Jennifer Kim Sohn and guest stitchers as they share a snapshot of refugee issues, the process of undertaking this project, and stories about the communities of participants.
