Local Color (SAQA REGIONAL)

Theme: Hawaii members will interpret the theme Local Color (Hawaii) in any creative way they choose.

Local Color will be a showcase of selected Hawaii SAQA members' artworks that will be shown concurrently with  the juried exhibition Shifting Tides, a traveling show that includes artists from seven Pacific SAQA regions.  This showcase will be in the Fountain Gallery of the Wailoa Center in Hilo, Hawaii from October 8 to October 28, 2021.

Any Hawaii SAQA member (first or second region) who would like their work considered for this showcase should send photos, dimensions, and pertinent information about the work to Phyllis Cullen, Hawaii SAQA rep, at pcul429@gmail.com. The exhibit theme is "Local Color" so any work that references anything "Hawaii" is welcomed.

 If your work is selected for the exhibit, you will need to deliver and pick up your work, or pay for shipping both directions, Please have work arrive by September 10. Shipping instructions will be provided . There is no entry fee, but donations to help cover the $250 hanging charge by the gallery are gratefully accepted!

Reception: October 8, 2021 from 1 - 6pm

There will be a gathering for SAQA members for refreshments at Phyllis' studio following the reception.
