The Textile Museum in Washington DC will host a one day pop up exhibit of Sister Artists, an collection of 40 art quilts created in a collaboration between Survivors of Gender Based Violence in Mali and art quilters. Sister Artists is a fundraising project run jointly by Quilt for Change and The Advocacy Project. Many of the artists are SAQA members. This one day pop up exhibit will include a reception at noon with remarks by the two organizations and some of the artists. The quilts will be auctioned online with the proceeds going to help the women in Mali through job training and other programs.
